Position Description; Participate as an Information Technology Specialist on the Storage Team assisting with the planning, engineering, development, documentation, and implementation of network storage capabilities. Individual will plan, coordinate, evaluate, develop and implement high-level infrastructure initiatives also, perform daily system administration on network storage infrastructure.

 

Functional Responsibilities

Develop and maintain storage infrastructure standards, investigate and test new technologies and products for possible implementation in a large multi-terabyte data warehouse infrastructure.  Environment: Solaris 9/10 and WIN2003, Veritas Netbackup and Network Appliance file servers.

 

Required Skills; Experience with storage file servers in an integrated Unix/Windows environment; Knowledge, skills, and ability with Solaris and/or Windows 2003 sever administration, NAS, SAN, ISCSI, and Veritas NetBackup software and volume configuration ; Good customer service and communication skills a must.

Functional Responsibilities;Work on a team administering web sites for JWICS/SIPRNET/NIPRNET (Solaris and Apache web servers)

 

Required Skills; Understand J2EE concepts, especially the Jakarta Struts framework; Have language proficiency in: 1. HTML 4.x (familiarity with the IC metadata standard a plus); 2. Position Description; Candidate will report to NGIC Operations Support Office (OSO) and be responsible for IT strategic planning at a non-technical level; concentrating on policy development, portfolio management of customer IT programs, IT governance processes, and performance management activities especially defining actionable performance statements and metrics.   

 

Functional Responsibilities; Respond to internal and external RFI's pertaining to the local IT environment. Produce documentation for NGIC's Enterprise Services (ES) portfolio of services including budget and contract data and ES led programs. Assist in discerning and complying with DIA, Army G2, and HQ INSCOM mandates. Assist in developing performance measures and metrics for all ES business areas.

 

Required Skills; Experience with enterprise level strategic planning in regards to DOD IT systems and IT governance; Experience with business processes documentation and review, process improvement initiatives, knowledge management, and budget performance integration; Candidate should have familiarization with DoDIIS, Army, or other Intelligence Agency's IT environment, policy documentation, processes and procedures; Capable of understanding high level aspects of DoD IT management and proven inventiveness with developing appropriate courses of action; Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing (policy statements, white papers, briefs); Able to operate in cross-functional environments; Adaptable to fluid and dynamic work situations, well-versed in working within DoD Intelligence and IT functions and communities.

Position Description

Schedule, operate and maintain all the Audio-Visual (AV) equipment within the Ryan Center in the support of the U.S. Air Force, Air Combat Command Headquarters (ACC HQ), Air and Space Operations  Center Division's C2 (command and control) Air Operations Center (AOC) mission requirements. This position will require a blend of technical knowledge and professionalism. Be an integral part of the facility IT functions. This position will interact with all levels of the Air Force. In addition, the individual will provide technical assistance and training in the use of audio/visual equipment for senior level personnel and staff for special scheduled and adhoc events within The Ryan Center as directed by Air and Space Operations  Center.

ITSC CP-054  Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) Specialist  - TS/SCI - Springfield, VA.

 

Position Description:

The Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR) Specialist works closely with Information System Organizations and is responsible for developing the dependency on critical technology infrastructure and develop and assure a DR Plan can maintain a capability to survive, operate through, and recover from significant declared events. Under the direction of BCP/DR Lead the specialist is responsible for assessing and mitigating enterprise risks for all information systems platforms, determining disaster recovery requirements, providing cost benefit analyses to justify investment in controls to mitigate risks, recommending strategies to meet those requirements, coordinating the development of plans and the acquisition of resources, and the preparation and execution of the testing of those plans.

 

Specific Tasks:

Assist with developing and upgrading disaster recovery strategies and supporting plans that are consistent with business continuity objectives; Facilitate and coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery planning activities with designated organizations, third party service providers, vendors, and trade partners. This includes equipment strategy analysis, and interaction with infrastructure and disaster recovery service providers/vendors; Provide adequate information to the Enterprise Data Center Operations Management to ensure efficient impact analysis decisions. This includes disaster recovery plan overviews and IT crisis management procedures for critical IT and business locations; Facilitate disaster recovery training related to planning, testing, plan maintenance, and execution with appropriate parties; Operate a continuous measurement process and provide management reports based on predefined metrics; Regularly meet with the representatives throughout the enterprise. Interactions with all levels of staff are required for this position. Work closely with the IT Risk Management/Audit/Governance program office; Publish and review risks and findings identified after disaster recovery exercises. Ensure that strategic and tactical plans are identified, developed, maintained, and successfully tested for critical IT systems.

 

Required Skills:

Strong technical and professional skills, with 2+ years of increased responsibilities in the field of IT and Business Continuity Management, with particular focus on Disaster Recovery Planning for a large, multi-platform organization;Strong knowledge of current disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies; Overall knowledge and understanding Data Storage, Data Transfer, vitalization and Server Consolidation technologies; Familiarity with IT Infrastructure and Environment; The ability to perform scheduling, control and planning functions with limited supervision; Effective communication, critical thinking, analytical, decision-making, technological, organizational/follow-through skills.
